Rich, moist soil, firm with plenty of well rotted compost dug in.

Position

Sun or partial shade preferred.

Frost tolerant

Yes.

Feeding

Not required if good soil.

Spacing

Single Plants: 35cm (1' 1") each way (minimum)
Rows: 30cm (11") with 40cm (1' 3") row gap (minimum)

Sow and Plant

Sow direct into final growing position. Pak Choi can also be started in containers.

Notes

Use fine mesh or exclusion netting over the summer to prevent butterflies laying eggs on the underside of leaves - caterpillars can destroy these plants. Keep soil moist in dry weather.
